Opening time: 9 a.m. (Sunday)
Weather: Clear but FREEZING
Crowds: Where did all these people come from? Isn't school back in session yet?
Down: Dumbo (maintenance), Small World (removal of holiday overlay).

What's Awry This Week:

Storybook Land - Bits of mini poinsettias still in the Alpine Village (whoops). Boats at Alice's village and Mr. Mole's house still missing.
Alice in Wonderland - Missing rose bloom replaced by small bunch of artificial white flowers (not very convincing, they look like they could fall off), hedgehog effect timing about 2 seconds off, mushroom needs a touchup.
Mr. Toad - Waistcoat button on Toad statue in queue missing. Sir Clinksalot still not clinking.
Snow White - Brass apple still missing, bird on dresser still turned sideways, wicked queen still bent over, apple/skull still badly discolored.
Pinocchio - Toy duck in cottage scene not working.
Minnie's House - "Cord" on "answering machine" torn and detached from "plug." The couch is still out, presumably for (needed) repairs; there are vinyl cushions on the floor in its place. It's bound to happen now and then - the fake furniture is pretty sturdy, but after 13+ years of heavy guest use, it can only take so much of a beating.
Downtown Toontown - Police hotline phone still missing. Sound was out on most of the doorbells, the talking toonhole, the crates at the Roger Rabbit exit, and at the Toontown power company.

Yay for: Cute CM at Snow White who reminded me not to eat too many poison apples.
Shame on: 1. A certain Jungle Cruise skipper who has been on the job long enough to know guests can't bring food or drinks on board, yet allowed THREE caffeine junkies on the boat with open (and full) cups of coffee, then seated TWO of them next to a nervous-looking girl in an expensive-looking velvet coat and signaled the other skipper to go before she could protest. (I asked her how much it cost to dry-clean the coat. She said it had to be sent out specially, which cost about $18. If any park supervisors read this, PLEASE remind your crews that if they are this careless, it could cost them several hours' pay to cover a pissed-off guest's cleaning bill in addition to the usual reprimand.)
2. Careless overweight guest who bodyslammed me into a wall in the HM Stretching Room, unprovoked. (I have nothing against heavy people. I'm just saying, my dad used to weigh around 300 pounds, but he made a conscious effort not to crowd anyone, let alone squash them.) Granted, I know they cram as many people as safety will allow into the elevators during peak hours, but she could at least have said "Excuse me."

See you at Disneyland.

Opening time: 9 a.m.
Weather: Clear but FREEZING
Crowds: Not bad
Decorations: Xmas stuff FINALLY gone (except IASW). Semi-ugly curlicues in spring colors at entrance tunnels.

What's Awry This Week:

Peter Pan - Second Star to the Right not lighting up (maybe the bulb's out?).
Storybook Land - Spotted bits of some mini poinsettias in the Alpine Village (whoops). Boats at Alice's village and Mr. Mole's house still missing.
Alice in Wonderland - Rose bloom still missing, hedgehog effect timing about 2 seconds off.
Mr. Toad - Waistcoat button on Toad statue in queue missing.
Snow White - Brass apple still missing, bird on dresser still turned sideways (bird on windowsill now facing forward), wicked queen still bent over, apple/skull still badly discolored.
Pinocchio - Toy duck in cottage scene not working.
Minnie's House - "Cord" on "answering machine" torn and detached from "plug." The couch seems to be out for (needed) repairs; there are vinyl cushions on the floor in its place.
Downtown Toontown - Police hotline phone still missing. Barrel in its place already has decaying bits of gum on it - eeew.

The castle is under tarps for repainting (now that the 50th AND Xmas are over), and Dumbo's down for a routine rehab. Oh, and Goofy stopped me to admire my coat.

See you at Disneyland.
